On 7 June 2023 the Vice President of the Turkish Climate Change Directorate, Dr. Abdulkadir Bekta?, announced the launch of the first National Cooling Action Plan (NCAP) in Türkiye at a thematic group meeting of the Cool Up programme attended by key national stakeholders from policy, industry, and academia in Ankara.
The NCAP is an important step towards sustainable cooling and a contribution to climate neutrality for Türkiye. The Directorate of Climate Change of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change leads the NCAP development supported by the Cool Up programme.
